This was no small task as we were building semi custom homes from 1,700 to 4,000 square feet. We had to retrain our subcontractors in the installation of the equipment and the sales team had to be educated and tested on their ability to relay to the consumer the importance and value of the ENERGY STAR® program.
Compared to a traditional code built home the Capitol ENERGY STAR® home produces a yearly reduction in energy usage equivalent to the home owner planting two hundred trees or parking their car for two months.
